Before you start
Install the application and Resource database
iPowder requires the resource crystallographic database for phase search, indexing and refinement. Sign in here to download the Windows installer and Resource archive.
After installation, the app will ask you to select the Resource .zip file if the database is not configured, then extract it to the required location. Follow the prompts.
The application updates more frequently than the database. You can normally keep the existing Resource package when upgrading. Download a new one only when required by the release notes.
